I know this isn’t a food blog, but OH. MY. GOSH.

I’ve just had the best apple of my life! I decided to create something of an apple sampler at the grocery store yesterday, and the STAYMAN apple is the clear winner. Its texture is crisp! Its flavor is perfect! It’s got that kind of rough skin texture that lets you know you’re getting a real apple, not a genetically engineered supermarket blah apple. Also it’s really dark red, so you get to pretend you’re Snow White. I keep taking a bite and then lying on the floor like I’m in a glass casket. I love it!

These are a Virginian species, discovered by a man named Stayman in 1866 - I recommend you get them ASAP!!

Oh please, please, please let this be true. Not since Phinneas and Hazel will such babies be welcomed into the entertainment world.

The NY Daily News has an item claiming that Christina Aguilera is rumored to be carrying twins! (See article here, midway down page)

This is awesome!!! I hope she and Jordie have two boys and name them Ben and Sam!  Wouldn’t it be heaven?

It’s sad that it’s come to the point where, when a celeb doesn’t look the way I remember, the assumption my mind makes is that they got work done.

Here is Cheri Oteri with Jessica Simpson (yes, this is also a flagrant excuse to put more J-Simp stories up here) at a Frederick’s of Hollywood bash. My first thoughts: “THAT’S Cheri Oteri???” Something about the cheeks…or the chin…or the teeth…or the nose…I could go on…

Something’s different… I thought. Then I started looking around for old pictures of Cheri (see below, on right for a picture the way I remember her) and realized that she’s looked quite varied over the years. The cute little maniacal look she wore in “Austin Powers” and other SNL-related comedies seems to really just be a look she can do to her face.

I suppose I should be happy that she knows what month it is, but what’s with all the little jack o’lanterns on her dashboard? Does that seem a little dangerous? Or at least lame?

OK, ya’ll… Starting November 8th, I will be acting a lot more like a housewife than I’ve ever tried before because JESSICA SIMPSON is taking over for Elizabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” during her maternity leave.

Are you kidding me? Pure, (relatively) uncensored Jessica the likes of which we haven’t had the chance to see since “Newlyweds?!?!” I am SO in.

If this falls apart, I will be so bummed. This will be awesome for her outfits alone, much less the gems that will spill out of her mouth.
