In reading my US Weekly today, I came across an ad for a TV movie on the ABC Family Channel this month:
It’s “Holiday in Handcuffs” starring Melissa Joan Hart and Mario Lopez!
This has everything that you could ever NOT want to see:
- C-list stars from old television shows:
- Melissa Joan Hart last charmed us in “Clarissa Explains It All”
- Mario Lopez played A.C. Slater from “Saved By The Bell”
- It’s about time these two teamed up!
- Terrible, Semi-Disturbing Plot:
- Melissa Joan Hart plays a down-and-out waitress who crumbles under the pressure of not bringing a boyfriend home to her family Christmas gathering and kidnaps an unsuspecting Lopez AT GUNPOINT. As the weekend drags on, her captive begins to fall in love with his kidnapper!
- Terrible character names
- Hart & Lopez play: Trudie Chandler and David Martin.
- Has anyone ever met a person under the age of 58 named Trudie?
This is clearly a not-to-be-missed TV event.

I just saw a commercial for this! What the…! This is seriously disgusting. I don’t think I can say anymore without writing a 1000-word essay on relationship violence but I am really not OK with this! On the Family channel no less!
Speaking of which, did you see that Disney is making NOOSE NECKLACES, supposedly as a tie-in with Pirates of the Caribbean? I mean really.
