There was a huge jump in viewings of our other post on SNL actress Cheri Oteri and how it appears that she does not have major plastic surgery, so we did some web detective work and discovered that Oteri’s father was murdered this past weekend. It sounds like a bar fight gone wrong, and really terrible stuff.

We’re thinking of Cheri and her family at this time. She’s always so funny and upbeat, and we are sorry to hear of such bad news.

Doesn’t Rachel Weisz look totally like Kiera Knightley on the cover of Vogue’s Living special issue?

Here’s a pic of Rachel Bilson of The OC wearing a blonde wig for her role in “New York, I Love You” (currently filming).  Do you like it or hate it???

A statement issued by them both:

We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best. Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes - it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, but we wanted you to hear it straight from us. - Ashlee and Pete

Another Simpson wedding! Those are awesome affairs! Can’t wait to see all the details in In Style Weddings.

p.s. The Starbucks thing was a big let down. They just gave out SHORT samples of their new Pike Place brew - it was fine, but not worth hauling my butt all the way to Starbucks, and definitely not “Venti big,” as promised below.

So Starbucks’ main website announces that tomorrow at noon, EST they are doing “Something Big” at Starbucks across the nation.

I’m intrigued… I will report back fully after I go to Starbucks at noon Tuesday!!

Time 100Time Magazine has compiled a list of 200 finalists for the annual “Time 100 Most Influential People” issue, and they’re letting people vote for their favorites.  It’s pretty amazing to see the current ranking, if nothing else it shows how the entertainment industry dominates.

It’s hard to copy the whole list, so click here to see the Time website.

Some of my favorite rankings:

  • Rain as #1 -  I guess all of Korea is voting?
  • Perez Hilton as #4 - it’s funny when he’s more influential than the people he writes about.
  • Or how about the Coen Brothers (#48), or Lance Armstrong (#52) ranking higher than President Sarkozy of France (#62)?!?
  • I’m just thankful David Beckham (#26) beat out Simon Cowell (#93) and the US Secretary of State (#102), oh, and the President (#192) is losing out to Amy Winehouse (#148) <sigh>…

Feel free to share some other thoughts about the list.
