There was a huge jump in viewings of our other post on SNL actress Cheri Oteri and how it appears that she does not have major plastic surgery, so we did some web detective work and discovered that Oteri’s father was murdered this past weekend. It sounds like a bar fight gone wrong, and really terrible stuff.

We’re thinking of Cheri and her family at this time. She’s always so funny and upbeat, and we are sorry to hear of such bad news.

Doesn’t Rachel Weisz look totally like Kiera Knightley on the cover of Vogue’s Living special issue?

p.s. The Starbucks thing was a big let down. They just gave out SHORT samples of their new Pike Place brew - it was fine, but not worth hauling my butt all the way to Starbucks, and definitely not “Venti big,” as promised below.

In a world filled with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, I start to yearn for the old days. And nothing brings me back to feeling twelve than seeing the drawings of Don Martin, the iconic cartoonist who died in 2000, and is best known for his cartoons in MAD Magazine. It’s hard to exactly place why they’re so good - maybe it’s almost like cartoon slapstick?
